Experiencia de clase

This is a combination class created by current learners! In this 1.5-hour class, learners will split the time between crochet and watercolor.

In the crochet component of the class, we will learn a new technique each week, and learners will have the opportunity to try it out and practice it in class. The teacher will carefully model and guide learners, provide support as needed, and suggest troubleshooting tips when things are not quite working out as planned. The teacher will post midweek, either by text or video, to encourage and check in with students. Students are always able to message for help, and the teacher will respond within 24 hours (usually sooner!). The teacher will also provide short videos reviewing the stitch/technique to help guide learners that will be scheduled to post as learners exit the weekly class.

In the watercolor component of the class, we will learn/practice/review techniques each week. Students will utilize a watercolor notebook or practice page to practice different techniques so they can have a resource outside of class to help them in their creative journey. Subjects will vary each week, but will use the techniques practiced in class.

Experiencia y certificaciones del docente
Welcome! I've taught in a traditional classroom, in a creative arts school setting, online, and as a home school Mom as needed with our own unique learners. I believe that arts, music, and books add so much to our days, and want to provide classes that support these areas with your learners too! I love learning new arts, and have even learned to paint and play the piano, recently, as an adult. I have been crocheting and sewing for about 30 years, and hope to share my knowledge with other lifelong learners who want to be brave and try new things! I believe enjoying the process is just as important, if not more, than the end product. I model imperfection and share my thought process in how to improve our experiences. I hope to see you soon!
