Have you ever heard of a time capsule? People create a collection of personal items to preserve over time and keep their history alive! New Years is a perfect time to put together your own Time Capsule in a Jar with special memories from the year, information about who you are right now, and showcase your creativity and hopes for the future! In this class we will... *Organize your art supplies to plan out your own Personalized New Year's Time Capsule *Use the Critical Thinking Skill of Reflection on your past year *Document your age, grade level, hand size and height *Document special memories, events, or important friendships *Write our hopes or goals for the New Year *Practice Public Speaking in a small class format to share your creation with other kids in our class By the end of this class, you will create a New Years Time Capsule in a Jar to remember who you are right now and add onto each New Years for years to come! Your family may choose to bury your jar in a specially marked spot in your yard or store with holiday decorations to bring out each year. Next year you can open it again to see how much you've grown and changed! Your family may choose to add to your Time Capsule in a Jar every year to mark your history as you grow up!
