30 minutos horas presenciales
Tarea
If not dry during class time, students will need to glue and tape the card together after class.

Experiencia de clase

Students will DIY their own "pop" popsicle card to give for Father's Day! They will learn a shaving cream marbling technique to create a tie-dye effect on their popsicle. Students then will cut out and glue on eyes and mouth of their choosing to create a custom card just by them! Because the shaving cream technique takes a few minutes of dry time, the card may need to be assembled after class is over. However, in class we will cut out, color and marble the card and go over all instructions so it can be assembled (glued and taped together) if they don't finish during the class.
Metas de aprendizaje
Students will be creative and have fun while learning an art technique to create a marble effect and end up with a fun card to give to someone special!

Orientación para padres
Because of the messy nature of shaving cream and the possibility of staining with food coloring, please protect the work surface and be aware of the possibly messy nature of the craft and prepare accordingly. Also, please be aware that scissors will be used during class so please have appropriate, safe scissors available to use and practice scissor safety.

Experiencia y certificaciones del docente
Hi! I've worked in an educational setting off and on for the past 15 years. I've taught Kindergarten, substitute taught grades K-12, tutored, and also taught preschool. I have a Bachelor of Science in Journalism with a Public Relations emphasis, so along with writing (right out of college I was managing editor of a local travel magazine) I also love collaborating on projects and event planning. I bring this into my lessons as I have a collaborative approach of working with students on lessons, and I like to look at my classes as events- which I strive to make memorable and fun for students! I also love aesthetics and design and have a license as a nail technician.
