In our Spanish class, learners will master essential language skills including speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Topics will cover everyday conversations, cultural insights, and practical vocabulary, with a focus on interactive and engaging content relevant to their interests.

The class is structured around a blend of direct instruction and interactive activities. Each session will begin with a brief lecture or introduction of new concepts, followed by hands-on practice through games, role-playing, and group discussions. We will utilize slides and video clips to reinforce learning and make abstract concepts more tangible.

My teaching style is dynamic and student-centered, aiming to make each lesson engaging and relevant. I encourage active participation and interaction, ensuring learners have ample opportunities to practice speaking and ask questions. Students will engage with me through interactive exercises, collaborative projects, and frequent feedback sessions to support their learning and development.

Metas de aprendizaje

Develop Conversational Skills: Students will learn to hold basic conversations in Spanish, including greetings, introductions, and discussing daily activities, with a focus on building confidence and fluency.

Improve Reading and Comprehension: Students will enhance their ability to read and understand Spanish texts, including simple stories and dialogues, by mastering essential vocabulary and recognizing common sight words.

With an ESL/TESOL certification and experience as a bilingual speaker of both Spanish and English, I bring a wealth of expertise to the classroom. My background in teaching English as a second language, combined with my native proficiency in Spanish, allows me to effectively support students in mastering Spanish while accommodating their individual learning needs. My dual-language skills enhance my ability to explain concepts clearly and create a rich, immersive learning environment that bridges language barriers and fosters effective communication.

As a native speaker of both Spanish and English, coupled with over a decade of experience in teaching these languages, I am confident in my ability to provide high-quality instruction and support for students. I lived in Mexico for almost a decade and then moved to the US afterwards making me a great tutor for those who may struggle with the language.
