In Conflict Resolution: Think, Plan and Solve or TPS, students will learn the TPS strategy. Conflict resolution and problem solving strategies will be discussed and taught to students in this one-time class. We will discuss how students can work to resolve conflicts together in school or their daily lives, how to ask for assistance from an adult when necessary and possible positive comebacks to dealing with conflicts like bullying and why promoting anti-bullying is important. This class is a 50 mInute class featuring discussions with teachers and peers directly, use of teacher-made Canva slides, mentions of conflict in children's media, interactive active and engaging role plays, modelled by the teacher first then allowing students to explore such scenarios and through Kahoot games. Students will interact with both myself and their peers directly in a welcoming, safe and engaging space that is encouraged to be student led and conversational. Everyone is welcome and belongs here!

Orientación para padres
We will discuss topics of bullying, conflict resolution and problem solving amongst young people. We will be referring to media including Charlotte's Web, Rataouille, Inside Out, Wonder, etc. to reference how these characters may feel during conflicts, and how they dealt with such issues, however we will not view the media directly. We will also be conducting role play scenarios of potential bullying and conflict resolution scenerios. We will not discuss any direct or personal experiences of conflict in the class, as the class in no way is to be conducted as therapy. We will however discuss what conflict looks like, strategies and tips to dealing with conflict around needing support in class and asking for help, learning to share and strategically plan a solution, what a student can do if they see a conflict occurring around them, how they can positively react to conflicts, and resources to use in such circumstances. Your child will also require a Kahoot account as we will play a Kahoot to ensure understanding of certain topics during class. The teacher will be referencing slides developed in Canva. No account is required for viewing of these slides, however you will require an account to have them shared with you.
Fuentes
We will refer to characters from films or the media in certain situations of role play scenerios. However, we will not watch or view any of the films or media mentioned directly.
