This is a personalized, one-on-one reading assessment. The assessment will evaluate skills essential for reading and spelling success. I will assess phonological awareness, reading, fluency, and spelling. If time allows, vocabulary and comprehension can also be assessed. Following the assessment, you will receive a detailed report with my findings. The report will include information I collected and follow-up suggestions. You will typically receive the report within 1-3 days. You will gain valuable information to help you guide your child's instruction and further their progress.

I am a licensed teacher in the State of Indiana with over 25 years experience teaching, tutoring and coaching. I have been trained in the Orton-Gillingham method by The Dyslexia Institute of Indiana and in Kindergarten OG by the M.A. Rooney Foundation. I have also completed Advanced Orton-Gillingham Training and Written Expression Training through the Dyslexia Institute of Indiana. I have completed LETRS training through Voyager Sopris Learning and received Certificates of Mastery for all 8 units. I have also taken one of Dr. Becky Bailey's Conscious Discipline trainings. I am a professional member of the International Dyslexia Association. In 2018-2020 I worked in a private Montessori school serving students who had Individual Service Plans.
