In this very interactive session, learners will explore colors by: - Participating in an interactive read-aloud of the book Pete the Cat: I Love My White Shoes, by Eric Litwin. Learners will be encouraged to answer as a group and even sing along to a simple song if they wish - Getting active by going on a color scavenger hunt in their home - Sharing their color discoveries with their peers and the teacher through show & tell Please note: * Since this is an interactive class, I will try to keep the students unmuted. Please mute your student's microphone as needed if there is other noise in the room. I will only mute if necessary; please teach students how to use the unmute button, or stay close to assist. ** Students will be actively moving around their homes during the scavenger hunt portion of our class. There is no need to gather items before class. Part of the fun is locating the items during the hunt. Learners will be encouraged to "clean up" by putting their scavenger hunt items away after class. *** No prior knowledge of color names is necessary. I look forward to meeting your child in my classroom for a fun color exploration extravaganza!
Metas de aprendizaje

My teaching specialties include preschool skills, elementary education, ESL- English as a Second Language, life skills, and coping skills. Some of my other interests are video games, board games, travel, Disney, crafts, cooking, and baking.
My employment has always included teaching or counseling. I have taught in a daycare center, a children's developmental center, schools, and a psychiatric day program.
