1-2 horas por semana. Students will receive weekly homework assignments to research application options and create a strategic application plan. By the end of the course, students will have a clear timeline and application strategy tailored to their college list.
Evaluación
Upon request, I will provide personalized feedback on a student’s progress towards building their application timeline. This will include actionable next steps.

Join "College Application Strategy: Mastering Early Decision, Early Action, and More" to learn about the different types of college applications and how they impact your admissions chances. We’ll break down Early Decision, Early Action, Regular Decision, and Rolling Admissions, helping you make informed decisions about which options are right for you. By the end of this course, you’ll have a strategic plan for applying to colleges and maximizing your chances of acceptance.

What Will Be Taught?

Each class covers key topics in the college application process:
•	Understanding Early Decision, Early Action, Regular Decision, and Rolling Admissions
•	Evaluating the pros and cons of each application type
•	Exploring financial aid implications and deadlines
•	Creating a timeline for your college applications
•	Deciding which application type is best for each school on your list


Class Structure

This class meets once a week for 55 minutes, with each session focused on a specific theme. Classes include:

•	Interactive Discussions: Share your college lists and ask questions about the best application options.
•	Strategic Planning: Weekly assignments to evaluate application types and develop a personalized application plan.
•	Real-World Applications: Apply strategies to make informed decisions about your college applications.

Lección 1:
Understanding College Application Types
 In this lesson, we will provide a comprehensive overview of the different types of college applications, including Early Decision (ED), Early Action (EA), Regular Decision (RD), Rolling Admissions, and Restrictive Early Action (REA). We’ll explore the unique characteristics of each application type, such as the binding nature of ED, the non-binding flexibility of EA, and the hybrid approach of REA.

Factors Influencing Application Types
 This lesson dives into the key factors that can influence which application type is best for each student. We’ll explore how financial aid considerations can impact the decision to apply Early Decision or Regular Decision, as well as how scholarships and grants play into the equation. For student-athletes, we’ll discuss how recruiting timelines can affect application choices and strategies. Additionally, we’ll cover legacy admissions and the potential advantages it offers in applications.

Lección 3:
Creating a Strategic Timeline for Your Applications
 This lesson focuses on creating a personalized timeline for managing multiple application deadlines. We’ll cover the importance of preparing Early Decision applications well in advance, including crafting strong essays and gathering recommendation letters. For Early Action and Restrictive Early Action, we’ll discuss how to balance these deadlines with Regular Decision applications, ensuring that students can submit high-quality materials for each. Rolling Admissions will also be addressed.

Lección 4:
Building Your Application Strategy
 In the final lesson, students will bring together everything they’ve learned to build a comprehensive college application strategy. We’ll discuss how to decide which schools to apply to early, based on their goals and research, and how to balance early and regular applications to maximize acceptance chances. We’ll also cover the financial aid implications of each application type, particularly Early Decision, and help students make informed decisions about their application plans.

Parents are encouraged to participate in discussions about financial aid, application deadlines, and strategic planning. This course will involve conversations about binding agreements (Early Decision) and financial implications, so family discussions are recommended.
Requisitos previos
No specific prerequisites are required, but students should be in their junior or senior year and ready to engage in the college application process.
