Classic rock songs will be taught, incorporating music theory in the context of learning each song and solo. How to improvise using scales, playing in time with backing tracks, right and left hand techniques and getting the right sound out of your instrument and amplifiers will be interwoven in the lessons. 
I will be teaching the songs and solos using backing tracks as needed to practice new material covered.  I will model the notes and techniques on the guitar slowly, offering tips on how to facilitate performing the music accurately and how to make the best use of practice time, expediting the learning process.
I like to keep the lessons moving and incorporate opportunities for students to share out how they're progressing. Time will be set aside for questions and feedback.
The lessons will be casual in nature but will require careful attention. 
My style is easy going and I never put pressure on students, only encouragement and tough, honest advice.

Schedule/Agenda:

Week 1- Feb 13th- 
Topic: Journey's Don't Stop Believin', 
Theme: The E Major scale- Main guitar parts, Major scale/Ionian mode review, fills and solo part 1, practice with backing track

Week 2- Feb 20th- 
Topic: Don't Stop Believin' Solo part 2, 
Theme: How to improvise over the chord changes and backing track, using target notes to emphasize in the E major scale

Week 3- Feb 27th- 
Topic:Ozzy Osbourne's Crazy Train- 
Theme:The F# Minor scale - Main Guitar riff and verse chords, practice with backing track, lead guitar fills between chorus and verses. Discussion and modeling of F# Minor scale and Dorian mode.

Week 4- March 5th- 
Topic:Crazy Train part 2- 
Theme: Main solo, advanced techniques used such as harmonics and tapping, scale use- Minor, Dorian and intro to Pentatonic scale. 

Getting the proper tone and equipment suggestions will be interspersed within all lessons.
Learners will voluntarily demonstrate their progress by performing on video.
Time will be allotted for questions and answers/ discussion after each lesson.
Suggested practice/homework will be offered with no requirement for completion.
