How important it is to be confident in yourself when speaking a new language. This two day semi-private class will be taught to 2 young ESL students who can read and speak English on a beginner reader level (Level 1). However, if you can speak some English but have difficulty reading English, you came to the right place! In our first class we will begin with vocabulary and read leveled stories together using our new vocabulary to help you learn to read! Many times students find it difficult to express themselves in a new language in the classroom. This class is designed to take the "pressure off"! I have found that having two students working together provides a chance for peers to help peers as well as learn the valuable social skills of turn-taking and teamwork.
 
I will be using a variety of methods to assist my students to become comfortable in asking and answering questions, and develop confidence in themselves, too! 

I'm a professional educator with 15 years of classroom experience, I have taught English as a Second Language (ESL) for 3 years online and I am certified in TESOL and TEFL (150 hours).  We will focus on speaking (pronunciation), reading and comprehension strategies. This will  be a fun, engaging class in which my Learners will practice vocabulary and pronunciation skills by reading with me, listening to a read aloud, and talking about it. Before our first class, please message me with grade level and any areas of concern to focus on.               

According to my student's needs I will be using puppets, visual props as well as TPR (Total Physical Response) to help my learners understand unfamiliar words and phrases. My classroom is a relaxed, fun and respectful place where students can always express themselves in a warm, caring atmosphere. My student will practice English speaking and reading skills as we learn and have fun in class. I make corrections very gently so my students always feel respected and supported as they learn. 

After class, I will give an assessment of skills to the parent, as well make suggestions, as appropriate, for what can be worked on at home. Let's work together!
