The claim, evidence, and reasoning framework (CER) is a scaffolded way to do different types of writing which includes argumentative, analytical, research, and even the scientific method. CERs are often used in English, History, and Science classes, making this writing process one of the most important skills a student can develop. It is a good way for students to express themselves in their writing while developing important skills of argument and analysis through this structured framework and thinking process which flows from a natural and logical argument.

Each session will run two days/week to build on the skills that students develop in the first class.
