I love making holiday treats for my family and friends at Christmas! In this class, students will make chocolate covered pretzels and decorate them so that they can give them to friends, family, and neighbors as gifts. While students are working on their pretzels, we will play a trivia game using commonly known Christmas movies and songs. The questions will be general, nothing too difficult. The following are examples of movies that may be included in the trivia: Frozen, Home Alone, The...
- Students will learn to make chocolate covered pretzels.
A tall mug (we will melt the chocolate in the microwave if the mug is taller, more of the pretzel rod can be covered in chocolate) Spoon Parchment paper, pan or plate that students can use to place their pretzels after they decorate them Long sized pretzel rods 6oz (half of a bag) chocolate chips (more if student wants to decorate more pretzels) Holiday themed sprinkles. Colored sugars don’t tend to look as bold on the melted chocolate, but you can choose what works for you.
