In this ongoing course, learners of all abilities will engage socially.  We will have a predictable schedule each week. 

We will begin each class greeting each other.  Learners will bring an item to share and talk about. 

Learners will be encouraged to comment, compliment, or ask a question to fellow classmates about the item learners bring to class. Our overall goal is to improve conversational skills while we have fun.

This class is specifically geared towards learners who have special needs. We welcome any student who has any type of disability. We also welcome students who don’t have disabilities who would like to be role models for students who have difficulty with conversational and social skills. Some specific disabilities that learners might have (but not limited to) autism, learning disabilities, communication disorders, etc.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions to see if this will be a good fit for your learner. I will also be happy to work with you on any accommodations your learner might require.
