Want to feel calm and in control of your emotions? In this fun 12-week course, we’ll explore how your brain works and why it sometimes reacts to stress. You’ll learn cool mindfulness tricks to help you stay calm, focused, and ready for anything! We’ll do activities like focusing on your breath, sounds around you, and how your body feels. Plus, we’ll practice being thankful and kind to ourselves to build a positive attitude. You’ll get great tools to handle challenges with more confidence and self-awareness.

What You’ll Learn:
-How your brain works and why it sometimes gets stressed
-Ways to stay calm and focused using your breath, sounds, and body
-How mindfulness can help you feel better during tough times
-Fun ways to practice gratitude and kindness
-How to understand your feelings and have more control over how you react

How the Course Works: Each class starts with a short, easy-to-understand lesson about mindfulness (like paying attention or how stress affects the brain). Then, we’ll do a group mindfulness activity where I’ll guide you through exercises to help you feel calm and focused. After that, we’ll talk about how it went and end with a quick journaling activity to remember what we learned.

Teaching Style: I love making learning fun and helping everyone feel welcome! I make sure the class feels safe and comfortable, and I always keep things energetic and exciting. You’ll get lots of chances to participate and share your thoughts.

Interaction: You’ll get to chat with me and your classmates during the lessons, mindfulness activities, and group discussions. We’ll use fun tools like videos and activities to make learning super enjoyable.

By the end of the course, you’ll have new skills to handle stress and feel more in control, no matter what comes your way!

 What the Resiliency Zone is and how the parts of the brain work together to help us.
