Are you struggling with telling the difference between a halogen and a noble gas? Are rate laws more like hate laws? Is stoichiometry like a four letter word in your house? If so, I can help! My private chemistry tutoring sessions are designed to help a student with whatever needs arise- whether it's talking through the basics of the periodic table, offering tips for naming chemical compounds, or demystifying equilibrium calculations. 

Each week, I work to create a personalized lesson based on your needs- whether it's introducing new topics or helping you with challenging problems, I'm here to make a tutoring experience that's perfect for you. 

In addition to our weekly meetings, I will also answer urgent questions during the week in the classroom or via Outschool message for no additional charge. 

These sessions are ideal for high school chemistry at all levels including AP Chemistry, IB Chemistry, or GCSE Chemistry. They are also appropriate for homeschoolers who need that little bit of extra help with chemistry or who want a comprehensive chemistry course taught by an experienced and knowledgeable teacher.

I am a certified chemistry teacher (grades 7-12) with over two decades of teaching experience. I have 7 years of experience in the high school classroom and have been teaching on Outschool since December 2018. I have also done private tutoring at the middle school, high school, and college level, taught freshman college chemistry recitations and labs, and worked in various science outreach settings including museums, middle school after school science programs, and science summer camps. From these experiences, I have worked with a lot of different types of learners at various stages of interest, ability, and motivation- from preschoolers wide-eyed at everything in science to high school students simply taking the class as a requirement to college freshmen chemistry majors passionate about the course with never-ending questions. I can tailor my teaching style to fit the learner, and I do what I can to make it approachable by anyone.
