Whether you dream of becoming a scientist, doctor, engineer, or simply want to understand the world around you better, this course will provide you with a strong foundation in chemical concepts and scientific thinking.

Over five comprehensive lessons, we'll explore how the tiniest particles combine to create everything around us. We'll dive into atoms, elements, and chemical reactions - the very building blocks of our universe!

In this course we’ll explore real-world chemistry, why fireworks burst into dazzling colors, or how your favorite soda fizzes. We'll investigate why leaves change color in autumn, how soap removes stains, and even the chemistry behind baking the perfect cake!

Our journey will take us from the heart of the atom to nature's recipe book - the periodic table. We'll even step into the world of forensic chemistry, using scientific methods to solve mysteries. Through hands-on experiments, interactive models, and engaging discussions, we'll bring these abstract concepts to life.

What you will learn from this course:

• A deep understanding of atomic structure and chemical bonding
• Confidence in navigating and interpreting the periodic table
• Skills in identifying substances based on their properties
• Ability to balance basic chemical equations
• Enhanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• A new perspective on the chemical world around them
• Knowledge of safe laboratory practices and chemical handling
• Awareness of chemistry's role in various careers and industries

Each lesson includes interactive activities, discussions, and opportunities for students to apply their knowledge. Between classes, students will have chances to practice concepts and explore ideas further, reinforcing their understanding of each topic. We'll utilize online simulations and molecular modeling software to enhance our learning experience.

Join us in this exciting exploration of chemistry, where learners will develop a deeper understanding of the molecular world and gain skills crucial for future scientific endeavors.

Whether you're curious about how things work, preparing for advanced science courses, or considering a career in STEM fields, this course will ignite your passion for chemistry and its endless possibilities!

Hi everyone! I'm Miss Tran, and I'm delighted to be your guide through the world of Chemistry and Biological sciences.

I hold a Master of Science in Biology with a specialization in Physiology with over ten years of experience teaching. My passion lies in fostering scientific curiosity and helping students see the connections between classroom learning and the world around them.

I've had the privilege of instructing courses ranging from university-level genetics to middle and high school math and physics, giving me a unique insight into how students learn and progress through different stages of their education.

My academic background, combined with my experience in tutoring and teaching at various levels, has honed my ability to break down complex concepts into digestible, engaging lessons.

My teaching philosophy centers on active learning, critical thinking, and creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable exploring new ideas. I believe in the power of hands-on experiences and visual aids to make abstract concepts tangible and memorable.

In my classes, you can expect:

🔢 1. Connections between classroom learning and real-world applications

🔢 2. A focus on critical thinking and collaborative problem-solving skills

🔢 3. Engaging, hands-on activities that bring abstract concepts to life

🔢 4. Preparation for advanced studies and standardized tests

🔢 5. A supportive atmosphere that encourages exploration and discussion

My approach is rooted in the belief that science is not just a subject to study, but a way of thinking and exploring our world. I strive to create an environment where curiosity thrives and where students learn to ask questions, analyze data, and draw conclusions like real scientists.

Additionally, I have extensive experience in preparing students for university placement and AP exams. Through specialized tutoring programs, I've helped numerous students navigate the challenging terrain of advanced science coursework and standardized testing, ensuring they're well-equipped for success in higher education.

In addition to my teaching experience, I've contributed to published research in radiotherapy and oncology, which has strengthened my understanding of how fundamental chemistry concepts apply to cutting-edge medical treatments. This real-world application of science is something I'm excited to share with my students.

If you're looking to get started with science, prepare for academic challenges, or simply gain a deeper understanding of the world around you, I'd love to hear from you! Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or if you're looking for a specific topic or schedule. I'm here to help you navigate your scientific adventure!
