Welcome to the Chatter Bugs Club: Beginner ESL Conversation Class! This engaging course offers a supportive environment for young learners at Pre A1 to A1 CEFR levels to develop fundamental language skills while nurturing their communication abilities. Expect interactive sessions where your learner, at the Pre A1 to A1 levels, will actively participate in activities to enhance speaking, listening, and comprehension. We explore diverse topics through enjoyable conversations, kickstarting each class with ice-breakers like songs or short exercises to ensure everyone feels comfortable and ready to engage. In every session, I will introduce new vocabulary and teach simple sentence structures related to the day's topic, fostering discussions and role-plays among peers. I will also provide gentle guidance and corrections to enhance language skills. We conclude each class with a fun chant or song, bidding goodbye to one another. Topics for Discussion: Week of January 1/2024 - Greetings and Introductions Week of January 8/2024- Family Members Week of January 15/ 2024 Animals and Pets Week of January 22/2024- Colors and Shapes Week of January 29/2024 -Food and Drinks Week of February 5/2024- Daily Routines Week of February 12/2024- Weather and Seasons Week of February 19/2024- Toys and Games Week of February 26/2024- Numbers and Counting Week of March 4/2024- Parts of the Body Week of March 11/2024- Clothing and Accessories Week of March 18/2024- My Home Week of March 25/2024 - Fruits and Vegetables Week of April 1/2024- Actions and Verbs (e.g., running, jumping) Week of April 8/2024- School and Classroom Objects Week of April 15/2024- Emotions and Feelings Week of April 22/2024- Holidays and Celebrations Week of April 29/2024- Transport and Vehicles Week of May 6/2024- Insects and Bugs Week of May 13/2024 - Hobbies and Interests Week of May 20/2024 - Nature and Environment Week of May 27/2024- Music and Musical Instruments Week of June 3/2024 At the Park (activities at the park) This class is scheduled once a week and lasts for 25 minutes. During the class, learners will be encouraged to have one-on-one conversations with the teacher, as well as engage in group discussions. The teaching approach will vary between repetition exercises and opportunities for learners to answer questions independently. The class will focus on developing communication fluency while also paying attention to grammatical accuracy.
