El rincón de Callie: conceptos básicos de química (de 9 a 11 años)

This course is meant to serve as part one of the Chemistry 101 course for students.  They will learn about the basics of chemistry.  I like to have an interactive class whenever possible.  There will be some lecturing, and I will make use of google slides to teach and show concepts.  But students will have opportunities to work problems and discuss the new concepts to check their understanding. 

Class 1: Defining Chemistry, properties of matter, physical vs chemical properties and changes
Class 2:  Atomic Structure and the atomic theory
Class 3: Periodic Table
Class 4:  Electron Arrangement

I can be available during office hours if students need additional help.  I try to incorporate the practice into the lesson but will include optional homework for the students or parents that would like it. 

This course is good for young students who are interested in starting their study of Chemistry early.
