In the story, we meet Wanda Petronski, a quiet girl from a poor immigrant family who is teased by her classmates for wearing the same faded blue dress every day. One day, she surprises everyone by claiming she has a hundred dresses at home — a statement that sparks curiosity, disbelief, and more teasing. As the story unfolds, Wanda's secret is revealed in a way that challenges her classmates to rethink their actions and attitudes. This course will go beyond simply reading the book.
