Nivel de inglés: desconocido
Grado de EE. UU. Preschool - 1
Nivel Beginner
I will greet the learner (s) warmly and ask a few questions for conversation.

Then I will show the book "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?" to the learner and introduce the characters and colors, asking simple questions like, "What color is the bear?" or "What animal is next to the bear?"

I will read the book aloud, pointing to each character as I go along; and encourage the learner to repeat after me.

We will review vocabulary words related to colors and animals using flashcards or visual aids. I will show the flashcards and ask the students to identify the colors and animals they see in the book.

We will learn a song based on the book.
-First I will teach the song verse by verse, starting slowly and gradually increasing the pace.
-I will use visuals or flashcards representing each character/color to aid comprehension.
-We will sing the song together, encouraging participation and repetition.

We will act out our favorite animal in the book.

We will sing the song once again and recap the lesson by asking questions about the characters and colors in the book.

Hello and Welcome! My name is Teacher Lizzie- nice to meet you!

My passion is teaching young learners how to speak and read the English language with clarity and confidence.

I teach classes related to English Language Learning, Phonics, Reading, Conversation, Speech, and Theater.

My educational journey began as a High School English and Drama teacher, where I cultivated skills to promote effective communication and engage students in meaningful ways. This foundational experience equipped me with essential tools for successful classroom engagement.

My teaching path led me to an enriching four-year adventure with VIPKID, an online platform connecting me with students from China and around the world. This experience allowed me to hone my expertise in ESL instruction, significantly enhancing my ability to tailor lessons to meet the unique needs of each student. It deepened my understanding of language acquisition and emphasized the importance of personalized instruction.

My tenure as a Kindergarten and First-grade phonics and reading tutor further fueled my passion for helping students develop their reading skills. It solidified my overarching goal of empowering students to speak and express the English language with clarity and confidence.

In my recent role as a 3rd and 4th Grade Autistic Support teacher, I had the privilege of working with students with diverse learning needs. This experience deepened my appreciation for the importance of individualized support and reinforced my commitment to fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

In addition to my primary roles, I've also served as a substitute teacher in my local school district. This role has provided me with a unique perspective on the diverse challenges and opportunities that arise in various classroom settings.

I am dedicated to a warm and compassionate approach to teaching. I firmly believe that creating a supportive and engaging environment is paramount in helping students feel confident and comfortable as they express themselves and grow in their newfound knowledge and skills.

I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Communications Arts with an Emphasis in Theater and a Minor in English. I am also TESOL certified through the International Open Academy.

In my classroom, you can expect to find patience, enthusiasm, encouragement, and singing! We will work hard and have fun too!

I love children and I love teaching. I hope to see your learner in my classroom!
