 All classes will be taught with NEW PASSAGES AND MATERIALS as we rotate through the different components of reading strategies during the school year.

☑️ THIS CLASS MEETS ALL OF THE COMMON CORE ELA (English/Language Arts) STANDARDS over the course of the year. 

☑️ ESA and CHARTER FUNDS accepted in my classes! 💵 I am ESL & Special Education CERTIFIED so all learners are welcome! 

✅ Each student will receive a OPTIONAL HOMEWORK PAGE for practice with answer key🗝️ included for home use as reinforcement of the weekly skill.  

☑️ Parent communication is highly valued in this class, and a written📜note or a short video 🎥feedback will be provided periodically as to how each student is progressing as my commitment to 🔗LINKING THE CLASSROOM EXPERIENCE to the parents & family.

✅CLASS IS VERY INTERACTIVE - EXPECT YOUR STUDENT TO READ📙 AND SPEAK 🎤FREQUENTLY! 

☑️This class has a flexible age range, so that an ADVANCED LEARNER could participate for practice and reinforcement,  while an EMERGING LEARNER can be challenged and encouraged.

✅ I use gentle prompts and open-ended questions with a lot of patience to bring out the most detailed responses possible from my students.  My goal is to make each learner feel like a MILLION BUCKS 💵for his or her efforts, no matter what!   

☑️Student participation time will vary depending upon class size and student comfort levels.  This class is a great place to BUILD READING FLUENCY, but also to build CONFIDENCE in reading and speaking online in front of others. 📖📙 Reading and discussion become MORE FUN WITH OTHERS!
