As an avid reader and student of the impact of arts and literature on culture, I bring a studied background of the places and people in 𝘈𝘮𝘢𝘭 𝘜𝘯𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥. My grad studies include the impact of colonialism with an emphasis on interdisciplinarity—how we understand each other through our creative expressions and cultural values and how each expression influences the other. I take a respectful view of non-Western lives and values, so we will be learning about the people, history, and land of Pakistan through the eyes of Amal, and we'll emerge with an understanding that human emotions and dreams tend to be the same all over the world.

Other than that, I am a book lover, home educator (8 students over 25 years ), author, literature grad student (University of Oxford), and story-hungry Outschool teacher. One of my greatest joys is seeing your learners spark an interest in great literature through our discussions together!

Detalles: The only required homework is to read the chapters assigned each week. We will do creative projects to share with each other in our "bring and brag" portion of each class.
As needed, I'll provide printable materials. Our projects may include pencils, pens, and other basic art materials.
If you have any concerns about content, please see the book review for 𝘈𝘮𝘢𝘭 𝘜𝘯𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 on the Common Sense Media site.
