In this class, we will read, write, and discuss the novel: A Wrinkle in Time. This timeless story of friendship and bravery allows for much discussion and learning. We will discuss a Tesseract and preview the text in lesson one. The students will be responsible for reading the chapters and annotating in their book. This will allow them to find the answers to the questions and learn new vocabulary. In our zoom sessions, we will discuss what they have learned, in a fun, interactive discussion where everyone will participate. 
Day one: preview the book and read chapters 1 - 4  discussion questions will be available for home reading
Day two: discuss chapters 1 - 4, and read chapters 5 - 8 as homework
Day three: discuss chapters 5 - 8, and read chapters 9-12 as homework
Day four: discuss chapters 9 - 12

Throughout the class and through the reading of the book, we will discuss the characters and how they evolve

Metas de aprendizaje

Students will read and discuss the book and its meaning. Questions will be available to use as guided reading. Students will also learn how characters evolve throughout a novel study.

Hello!!. My name is Mrs. Beth Lanthier.

I taught elementary school (grades 2-8) for twenty years. My Master's Degree is in Reading and Language Arts - and that is my passion. My favorite moments are when kids who don't like to write, begin to love it! 

In the fall, I teach reading, writing, grammar, and  College Success Skills to college students

Teaching is my passion, and my philosophy is that the influence of a good teacher can never be erased. I hear back from former students about how I impacted their lives and how they are passing that on to their children.

I will offer classes in reading, writing, English, journaling, and bullet journaling. If you look at my available classes, I offer a lot of book clubs also.

I look forward to passing on my enthusiasm and knowledge to each and every student.
