We will explore the beauty of watercolor and create this translucent painting. Students will learn to blend colors and create soft and hard edges to achieve these dramatic sky, land and water. We will discuss what colors to begin a watercolor with, and why shading and hi-lighting are such an important part of a painting. Supply List 8 inch by 10 inch watercolor paper, bowl or water, paper towels, number 12 round brush that comes to a point, 1/2 inch square, flat top brush palette paper (or a watercolor tray or foam plate), Watercolor paint tubes work best. A set is easy to find a craft stores. We will use white, yellow, orange, alizarin crimson(red), purple, blue, green, brown and black.
