Experiencia de clase

Students will learn the difference between an actual volcano and a chemical reaction.  They will have the opportunity to make comments and ask questions through a class discussion and then, we will begin our science experiment! 
We will complete our very own science experiment ending with our volcanoes exploding! 
(No worries, we will not be making a mess at all!  Students will be using a large bowl to conduct the experiment inside of to collect any spillage from the volcano.)
 Parent supervision is not required for this age group, but the experiment would be easier if they measured materials before class.

Experiencia y certificaciones del docente

I love teaching ALL kinds of classes!  I know students (and adults) LOVE to participate in science experiments, so that is my main focus!  I love to combine the learning topic with an activity, so there is never a dull moment!  I also teach cooking and baking classes to all ages; it's never too early to learn!  However, this must not take away from learning how to read and write!  (English and language arts were my favorite subjects in school!)  
Professional Background: I graduated in 2018 with my Associate's in Art and my Associate's in Science degrees.  I graduated in 2020 with my Bachelor's in Elementary Education degree.  All 3 degrees were awarded with gold honors.  
I believe that students learn best when they are having fun.  Enjoying lessons and completing hands-on activities helps relate the information to the real-world; as well as retaining the new information!
