In this class we are going to learn about the history of Beyblades, how they came from a Japanese spinning top game known as Beigoma. We will talk about the Japanese company called Takara Tomy the USA company called Hasbro. This part will be more lecture form with one video showing a Beigoma in action. We will look at the structure and Burst System of our Beyblades and what effect the different parts have in battles. We will talk about the Energy layers, Forge Discs and Performance Tips. For this part we will use a scale to see the weights of our Forge Discs. After this we will talk about the different Layer Systems, when they were released and the newest releases. This will show us how the structures of the Beyblades has changed over time. Finally we will discuss the Four different Types of Beyblades: Attack, Stamina, Defense and Balance. This is where we will use a timer/stopwatch to time how long our Beyblades stay spinning and also obverse their movements. Students will also get the share their favorite Beyblades, and favorite Types of Beyblades.
Metas de aprendizaje
Students will understand how some basic physics help their Beyblades move, such as weight and mass.
Students will know more about the origins of Beyblades and how they came from sinning tops.
Students will be able to understand how to make combinations with their Beyblade parts in order to win battles.
Students will be able to socialize with each other.

My name is Laira and it's wonderful to meet you!
I love to teach and have over 15 years teaching all ages in all fields of education. For the past 3 years I have been working at an ALE program with students in grades 1st-8th and have taught science, nature, geography, history, photography and even fun classes like one on Beyblades! I have been teaching entirely online this last year and I love it too!
I believe students learn the best when they are having fun. That way students are motivated to participate in class. I make my classes engaging with interesting information and I try to add fun hands-on activities and experiments when I can.
I also homeschool my own two children and have been for 6 years now. I was also homeschooled myself. I am very passionate about learning and finding the best way to help my children learn.
Besides teaching I love to hike with my husky, Kaiya, and my family. I also love to take pictures, I've done so professionally and as just a hobby.
