Are you looking for a fun way for your child to review short-vowel sounds? In this one-time class, students will review vowel letter names and short-vowel sounds through engaging activities like songs and slides. Please note, students should have prior knowledge of vowel names and sounds before enrolling in this class. Your child will be able to practice identifying the different types of vowels by their sound as well as practicing writing their vowels! This is an interactive lesson that will keep your child engaged throughout the entire session. It's never too early to start teaching your children about phonics! A one-page printable worksheet titled, “Tracing Vowels”, will be provided and used during class. For parents without printer access, standard paper, pencil, and a highlighter can be utilized to replicate the worksheet. Simply write out the upper/lower case vowels using a highlighter, and then your learner can trace your letters during class. If your learner is new to writing letters, don't worry, it's not a requirement for the course.

Hello! Thank you for stopping by my teacher page! My name is Embarly Williams and I love teaching children how to read. After obtaining a Master’s Degree in Education with a specialization in E-teaching and E-learning I put my skill set to work and started teaching English as a Second Language online to children abroad. I found so much joy in watching non-English speaking children begin to recognize letters, proper letter sounds, and then eventually learn how to read!
Perhaps, it was my own childhood struggles with learning how to read that drives my passion to teach children to become more confident and fluent readers.
As a homeschooling educator of three, I understand the importance of early literacy skills. I have also learned to adapt lessons to the individual needs of my children and promote confidence in reading.
I offer classes for beginning and struggling readers that focus on identifying letters, letter sounds, phonemic awareness, letter blends, and reading fluency.
As your child’s teacher, I will put my heart into each course, and will cheer them on every step of the way.
I cannot wait to see your child in my classroom!
