Welcome to my 4-week FLEX continuing beginner piano class, perfect for those who completed Beginner Piano FLEX level 1 or can identify notes on the keyboard. Join me and my piano genius dog, Echo, for engaging and concise videos that make learning fun. With over 30 families learning from me weekly on Outschool, I have a high retention rate in my Private Piano Lessons class. Each week, learners will submit a video of themselves playing the challenge, and we'll have a composer spotlight to explore music history. Let's review basic concepts, learn new songs, and have fun!

Each week, you'll submit a video of yourself playing the challenge for that week. If you have any questions or confusion, just reach out to me, and I'll send personalized videos to ensure we're on the same page. We'll also have a "composer spotlight" each week where we learn about a cool composer from the past and a new composer making waves in the world of classical music.

Week One: Foundational Fun - We'll review basic concepts from the previous FLEX class and introduce Bass Clef Note reading while learning the song "Rain Rain."

Week Two: We've Got The Beat! - We'll continue with "Alouette," learn a G major scale, and focus on rhythm and musical counting. We'll also introduce a second piece, "Waltzing Elephants."

Week Three: Alright, Alouette! - We'll finish learning "Alouette," explore the composer behind it, and learn about Binary form in music. We'll also introduce a second piece, "Waltzing Elephants."

Week Four: We'll finish learning "Waltzing Elephants," discuss what comes next for our piano journey, and spend some time reviewing what we've learned in our class!
