Fonética inicial FLEX 3: CVC, palabras reconocibles a simple vista y oraciones simples

**Students must know all of their letter sounds, know how to write all their letters and how to identify beginning/ending sounds! It is useful if students have been introduced to CVC words in some capacity. If your child does not have these skills I highly recommend they take Beginning Phonics FLEX 1: Letter Sounds and/or Beginning Phonics FLEX 2: Beginning Sounds, Ending Sounds, CVC Words and Handwriting before this class.**

A FLEX class does not rely on live meetings but instead has videos and other posts in the Outschool classroom. This is ideal for learning these beginning phonics skills because your child can practice over and over again. In addition, every child learns these skills at their own pace and this class allows them to view materials again if they need additional practice and instruction. 

Each week will include Three Parts: CVC Words, Sight Words and Simple Sentences

CVC Words: Phonemic Awareness video and 3-5 Interactive Phonics Videos. Two age appropriate worksheets (one with writing and one without)
Sight Words: Three Interactive Video parts introducing the sight words using a three part Montessori Lesson and a quick review video of all known sight words, Worksheet to practice writing each sight word and a sentence using the sight word. I also ask students to have index cards to write their sight words during the first video each week. 
Simple Sentences: Video introducing weekly sentence frames/parts of a sentence/ Video modeling successful early reading/writing behaviors. Each week I will provide a "read and draw story", a sentence for students to cut and glue in order, and in later weeks a sentence frame for students to use to write a sentence.

Parent Outline: I will provide an outline of how parents can support their students and use the materials in the most effective way
Outside Resources: Weekly Interactive Games, List of when to introduce BOB books to your child. 

Week One: Review all vowel sounds, two letter words, "a" words, Blending Sounds into a word, Sight Words: the, is, and, I
Week Two: "i" and "u" words, Segmenting Sounds in a word, Sight Words: to, has, of, you
Week Three: "e" and "o" words, Deleting Sounds in a word, Sight Words: that, like, a, my
Week Four: Working with all vowels, Substituting Sounds in a word, Sight Words: with, was, for, put
Week Five: Working with all vowels,  Substituting Sounds in a word, Sight Words: see, are, as, play
Week Six: Working with all vowels, Substituting Sounds in a word, Sight Words: he, she, they, not
Metas de aprendizaje
Students will learn 24 sight words.

Students will be able to accurately read and write cvc words.

Students will be able to write a sentence using a capital letter, spaces and a period. 

Students will be able to apply their knowledge of cvc words and sight words when reading and writing.
