In this beginner class, we will learn the fundamentals of music by learning to play the recorder. Weekly topics will be covered as follows: Week 1 - July 25, 26 Class 1 - Introduction to the recorder. We will learn how to produce a good sound (embouchure), and how to play two different notes, B and A. Treble clef will be introduced along with music notation. Class 2 - New note G will be introduced. Rhythm and beat will be incorporated. Week 2 - Aug.1, 2 Class 1 - We will learn simple songs...
- Students will learn the following: *beat and rhythm *basic music notation in the treble clef *how to produce a sound on the recorder *how to make different notes on the recorder
Each learner must have a functional, working recorder.
