1-2 horas por semana. I’m sure you’ve heard the saying, “Practice makes perfect”! Learners can expect to spend between 70-90 minutes a week on this class between their learning and practice time. Some learners may require a little more practice, as we all have different learning abilities. Below is a suggested schedule each week for this class. Mondays: View Classmates Video Recordings of their songs and Instructor Feedback (10-15 min) Tuesdays: View the Weekly Lesson Video at your Piano/Keyboard just like a Live Lesson and practice the concepts taught (25 min) Wednesdays: Complete Theory Assignment (10-15 min) Thursdays: Review any portion of the Lesson Video necessary and practice song (10-15 min) Fridays: Upload Picture of Theory Assignment to Classroom Page | Review any portion of the Lesson Video Necessary and practice song (10-15 min) Saturdays: Review song for the week at Piano/Keyboard (5-10 min) Sundays: Review song for the week at Piano/Keyboard and Record Song (10-15 min)Evaluación
I will provide Video Feedback to learners as they submit their Recordings and Theory Assignments each week. Learners will then be able to correct their work and move forward toward mastery and the next concept.Experiencia de clase
Virtual Piano lessons allow you the convenience of learning the piano from your own home and with the busy schedules many families have, this Flex Class will allow you more flexibility in learning the material. This class is perfect for learners who have completed Beginner Piano Lessons: Level 1 and want to continue in learning to play the piano. If you have a learner who has not completed the prior class, but has some beginner experience in piano, please reach out to me to see if this class may be a good fit. If you are interested in this class, but have not completed Level 1, use the link below to enroll! https://outschool.com/classes/beginner-piano-lessons-level-1a-AyCIxsmg?sectionUid=1f8781db-3c87-445d-80d1-9450410f1f68&usid=wIYXlKPR&signup=true&utm_campaign=share_activity_link What To Expect - Video Lessons Each Monday - View the Video and Complete Assignments throughout the Week - Written or Video Feedback from the Teacher on Weekly Theory Assignments - Video Feedback from the Teacher on Weekly Song Recordings - Discussion Questions to Promote Engagement - Encouragement from Classmates and the Teacher - Unlimited Communication with the Teacher - A Complementary 1 on 1 Private Lesson with the teacher upon completion of the class. There are NO live weekly meetings for this class, however the teacher works to ensure every learner has meaningful one on one feedback throughout the entire class. A piano or keyboard is required for this class as well as two books (the same books as Level 1) which are all linked in the Materials section on this page. Material will be posted weekly and you can view it during the week when it works best for your schedule. Video lessons will be released each Monday of the instructor reviewing the assignments for the week and teaching piano concepts in a way that is easy to understand, much like a live piano lesson. Learners will view these videos and practice the concepts taught at their piano. They will then spend time practicing songs taught in the video lesson throughout the week. Learners will be assigned one song each week to record themselves playing and then upload to the Classroom Page. The teacher will model how to give appropriate and positive feedback to one another and learners will be encouraged to provide positive feedback to each video posted in the classroom. The instructor will also provide Video Feedback for each learner praising them for their progress and positively modeling any corrections that need to be made. Theory Worksheets will be assigned to support learning and to allow the instructor to check for understanding. Learners should submit a picture of their Theory assignments each week by Friday to allow the instructor time to give feedback. In this class, learners will have the opportunity to learn 10 songs! Learners who have some beginner experience on the Piano, but have not completed Level 1 should contact me prior to enrolling in this class. Learners will record themselves playing their songs on the Piano/Keyboard for this class using an Outside Platform called Flipgrid. They should be seated at a Keyboard or Piano and video should be set up so they can be seen from their head to lower rib cage. Their hands should be clearly visible in these recordings to allow for teacher feedback.

Hello Outschool Families! I’m a certified educator in the USA. I've been teaching on Outschool for two years now and have loved establishing relationships with learners and their families, some I still have since I started! I've been teaching the Piano for just over 15 years and teaching a variety of other Performing Arts subjects since graduating with my degree in Music Education in 2009.
Music has been a passion of mine since I was a child. I grew up in a musical family, sang in church and school, began piano lessons in first grade, was in several musicals, was in the band where I played the flute and piccolo, and lead music at my church on the worship team. I am passionate about students and education! Here are a couple facts about me.

My goal is that every learner and family leaves my class feeling their time was well spent!
I look forward to getting to know you and hope our time together will leave a lasting impact!
