In these one on one introduction to guitar lessons we will be going over the basics of the guitar. We will start with learning about the body of the guitar and the different parts that it is made of, as well as learn about the strings of the guitar and how to tune. The bulk of the lessons will be spent learning about what Notes, Chords, and Scales are and how to play them. We will work to understand how they are laid out on the guitar as well as what are hands do to achieve them. We will also use simple musical song examples to work on how our hands both play individual chords and move between them, as well as how we play induvial notes within the scales. These lessons will include diagrams and charts for reference.

For this course, the learner will need a guitar, a guitar pick, simple headphones with a mic, and a guitar tuner. I have been playing guitar for 10 years, as a songwriter and worship musician, and in college ensembles and my heart is to help pass on the skills to both play the guitar and understood what you are doing when making music, which is what my teaching style is geared towards.
