En este curso en línea de 8 semanas, los estudiantes mejorarán su adquisición del chino desde el paso (4-1) hasta el paso (4-2). Practicarán habilidades de comprensión auditiva, expresión oral, escritura y lectura en chino basándose en aproximadamente 550 a 750 palabras de vocabulario regular.

Experiencia de clase

The class will teach about 150 new characters, 100 sentences, 8 children's songs,  8 ancient poems, 8 shell bone script characters and 8 idioms. The instruction will cover the entirety of the first quarter of the second textbook used by Beijing’s elementary schools , plus the famous "Basic Chinese 500" book. The lessons include passages on Chinese folklore, idioms, and science stories. The teaching contents will cover the following topics:
 Week 1. A tadpole is looking for its mom
Week 2. To know is to know 
Week 3. This is my trunk I am a tall tall tree 
Week 4. A goat climbing up a hill
Week 5. A poem within 7 steps
Week 6. An exercise's rhythm in Chinese
Week 7. How Cao Chong weighed an elephant
Week 8. A story of a red horse
My class will be primarily reading and listening. The classroom typical activities should be repeating teacher-modeled prescribed dialogues, oral pattern practice, pronunciation drilling and practicing memorized dialogues in pairs. I will teach students with many interactive activities, focusing on character recolonization and storytelling. My teaching style is trying to make every study content interesting, and will use games and presentations from websites like Quizlet and Word Wall. I usually concentrate on comprehensive input and make my teaching plans more focus on the effective connections between each lesson.There are writing assignments for students every week. I plan to teach how to write 5 characters each week, i will help students to make flashcards for vocabulary memorizing and fun. I also prepared many illustration children' books for our story telling and retelling time. I will show some interesting traditional Chinese art, such as calligraphy, paper cutting, Beijing opera, tongue twisters, etc. Students should follow my direction and finish reading and speaking assignments. Students should be comfortable with speaking and reading activities. 基础中文进阶四将涵盖人民教育出版社的小学语文二年级下册(第二个四分之一部分),辅以《基础汉字500》,按照听说读写四个基本语言训练的模式,向拥有400字基础的学生讲授汉语基本词汇,汉语拼音,笔画称名,日常用语,简单会话。通过多个有效切入角度的反复训练和练习,帮助和引导学生打下扎实的汉语基础。我的教学目标是精讲多练400新字, 100新句,10篇课文,8首儿童歌曲, 8首古今诗歌, 8个象形文字, 八个成语。我的课堂在全面统领学生听说读写能力的同时,侧重强调和培养学生敏锐准确的听力和流畅清楚的说话能力。教学中我采用很多种方法调动学生学习的主动性,除了直接的知识传授,我擅长在游戏和场景模拟等教学设计中带领学生进入有趣的陌生语言的语境,让语言学习活泼生动,充满乐趣。我的课堂还十分注重差异教学,我会在课程伊始为每个学生设定短期和长期目标,跟学生家长讨论决定长期目标,细化每一阶段的短期目标, 让每个学生明了自己的起点和目的,我也会全神贯注关心学生的点滴努力和进步,在教学中发现并鼓励努力上进的小孩。我的教学中还穿插有民间童谣和经典的诗歌美文,设计了“英译中翻翻乐 ” “很久很久以前。。。。。。”纸牌字卡游戏,大富翁词卡游戏以及卡通人物角色扮演等多种形式的课堂活动。

My name is Yuping Zeng. I am Chinese teacher .I live in LA.  I am a mother of two boys. I like watching movies, going to the beach, and hiking. In my spare time, I do craft and knitting and listen to music too.
My strengths are language teaching and short story writing. I taught Russian for 17 years. I taught Chinese to foreign students since 2003. I taught both English and Chinese in America. My students are a diverse group of people, with widely varying ages and skill levels. I have attention to detail. I am good at working along with others. I have a talent(facility) for language acquisition. I have a good instinct for learning and applying the language I have learned.

I have a PhD in Russian literature. I am studying TESOL in APU recently.
I loving teaching. I think that I should prepare very detailed for the input part of language teaching in order to encourage and lead students to output what they comprehend and learn through this training.
My students and I are always happy the rewrite the textbooks we have learned. It is a real blessing when we realize those materials exist just for improvement of our language proficiency.
