Preteens and teens will learn many babysitting tips and strategies during this 3 day camp. The goal for me as the teacher of this class is to have students to critically think through situations and gain confidence that they will know what to do in any situation they may face in a babysitting situation. I want them to be confident in the decisions they will have to make on their own in a variety of babysitting situations. This class is fun and interactive! I like to let my students do most of the talking and discussing after I provide a brief lecture. 

Day 1: Students will discuss what to do and what not to do while caring for children, as well as ways to create good relationships with the children they will be caring for and their parents. 

Day 2: Students will learn about behavior and strategies to manage a variety of behavior situations.

Day 3: Students will learn specifically about caring for newborn babies.

Hello! I am Ms. Brittany. I have 8 years of classroom teaching experience and 4.5 years of experience teaching online. I earned my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from Eastern Kentucky University in 2012. I also earned my Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education in 2015, also at Eastern Kentucky University.  I've been married to my husband, Matt for 9 years and we have 2 boys ages 6 and 3. I love teaching! I believe children learn best using a hands on, minds on approach. I enjoy teaching a variety of ages! I like to cook, sew and craft as well. My goal is to provide fun, hands on experiences for my students. I look forward to meeting you soon!
