1 hora por semana. - There will be 62 pages of The Constitution itself to read, which can access the "read aloud" feature on Microsoft Word and/or Adobe Reader for learners who prefer to listen than to read.
Evaluación
I will provide worksheets to be submitted for feedback. They can either be submitted back to me as written work via the classroom or as a message, or if the learner prefers, they are welcome to present them in class if they prefer to speak rather than write.

However, learners from other jurisdictions will learn the skills that they need in order to interpret their own Constitutions or the equivalent.

- The IRAC Method - Issues, Rules, Application, Conclusion.

- The division of power between the States and the Commonwealth;
- Section 96;
- Section 109.

Day 4:
- Commonwealth legislative power over the States;
- State legislative power over the Commonwealth;
- Intergovernmental Immunities.

Day 5:
- Trade;
- Commerce;
- Corporations;
- Constitutional corporations.

Day 6:
- External Affairs;
- Defence Head of Power.

Day 7:
- Environmental Regulation;
- Protection of Private Property;
- Protest and the Constitution;
- Section 51.

Day 8:
- Section 90;
- Section 92;
- Inter-state Commerce and Trade.

Day 9:
- Why doesn't Australia have a Bill of Rights?
- Section 41;
- Section 80;
- Section 116;
- Section 117.

Day 10:
- Implied rights and freedoms;
- The Rule of Law.

Day 11:
- Democracy;
- The Senate;
- Party Politics;
- Voting.

Day 12:
- Separation of powers;
- 'Making' Laws.

- The IRAC Method of critically analysing case law;
- An Historical overview of Australian Government.

Students will have the opportunity to express their informed opinions about what they have learned by way of assessment pieces.

I am a lawyer in Australia, and I have homeschooled my own children for the past 8 years and will continue to do so for at least another 17 years (my youngest child is 1y as of 2022).
