This class will use art as a form of creative expression and emotional support/relaxation. We will discuss various emotions. Learners will then be encouraged to draw pictures that express those feelings as a way of release. This class will allow learners to demonstrate creativity through artwork. Art can be very therapeutic and relaxing. Each week the students are encouraged to draw pictures based on how they might be feeling! We will then discuss the drawings. Students are in no way pressured to have perfect pictures, but to perfectly express themselves through their art. Weekly Breakdown: Each class will begin with discussion where the students are free to discuss whatever they may be feeling in the moment. They will then spend some time expressing those emotions through art. Afterwards they will get a chance to display their art and conclude with discussion surrounding it. Again, this is meant to be a safe place that promotes tranquility and creativity. Each class is structured in the same manner, so learners can jump in and out @ their own convenience :) Hope to see you all in the classroom soon ❤️

Hello!
My name is Danyelle, and I love to teach and interact with people. I am very excited to meet you. I received a Bachelors degree in English with a minor in History. I have always taught in some capacity, whether it meant leading in organizations at school, singing groups, church classes, Assistant teaching, or creating tutorials online. I have also done mediation and counseling amongst my peers. I have a passion for healing and wholeness for all individuals. I genuinely love to see people happy and fulfilled.
Teaching online has brought me so much joy. I feel a great sense of purpose each time I engage with my wonderful students. There is nothing like the feeling of witnessing someone learn a new concept, express their feelings about the class, overcome a hurdle, or simply have fun while learning.
Outside of academics, I absolutely love to sing. I have sung my entire life, in school, at church, at weddings, and during online classes. I've noticed that many students respond well when music is involved. Along with music, I love health & fitness, some "drama" or acting, photography/videography, reading, writing, and personal development. All of these things are very important or enjoyable aspects to life, and I believe that incorporating them in the classroom will greatly benefit the learner. I am very excited to offer classes that will promote healthy, happy, and well rounded individuals.
I've learned that each student is different, and will flourish when someone takes the time to give them what they need. I truly try to teach with "purpose and passion" because that is what I enjoyed/enjoy as a student. My hope is that students leave my class feeling more confident and comfortable in themselves and their ability to learn and "be" in this world.
