In this art one time class students will learn about world-famous artist: W. Kandinsky. After short introductions we will talk about the artist and his art style (abstract expressionism) and we will look at the artist's most famous paintings and works of art. We will make a rendition of Kandinsky’s “Yellow, Red and Blue”). There will be a short lecture on the artist and slides will be used as visuals. Students will be guided step by step to create their own artwork inspired by this artist. However, if your learner’s art work takes on another direction that will be celebrated and supported. Young artists in my class are always welcome to make color changes, change lines or add creative flourishes and details. My teaching style is patient and encouraging. Students will be able to ask questions and make comments throughout the course. Students will be able to interact with the teacher and the other students as we make our creations. Students will be able to discuss the artist with the teacher and the other students. Students will be encouraged to share their artwork with the class. No prior art knowledge is needed for this class. *If this class interests your learner please sign up for the class. I'll take the slot and teach even if it's just one learner.
