Through part guided drawing and mostly student imagination, we will draw a fantastic dragon's eye  using colored pencils and Sharpies. Some experience with drawing, shading, and perspective is helpful, but not required! Students are encouraged to look at images of human and animal eyes (do a google or pinterest search!) prior to class, and if a printer is available, print a few favorites for reference.
During the first class we will look at and discuss different types of pupils, details in irises, etc. that might be interesting, and practice sketching a variety of eyes. We will begin a "final copy" toward the end of the session.
Practice and/or continued work, such as starting a second eye with different details and colors is also encouraged between the two class sessions.
During the second session, we will examine and practice different types of scales, then complete dragon eye and participate in a group share/critique.
