Experiencia de clase

This is a one on one tutoring class intended for individuals that are interested in learning the Arabic language in any capacity. Whether the student is an absolute beginner or an advanced speaker or learner of this language, teachers are prepared to accommodate their needs accordingly.

Teaching Style - During class, instructors will teach using a variety of engaging techniques including slides, hand gestures, facial expressions, and body movements. We will also use chanting, singing, and games to help reinforce what is being learned.

Modern Standard Arabic (Fusha) - Each of our teachers can teach Modern Standard Arabic which is idea for those who are seeking a formal experience. For anyone that is unsure, this is the best place to begin.

Dialects - We also have teachers that will teach in various dialects of the Arabic language such as Lebanese, Egyptian, Moroccan, etc. Parents and/or students only need to indicate their preference before or during the first session.

Individualized Learning - Lessons will be designed directly by the teacher to meet the unique needs of each individual learner. The initial session will be used as an opportunity for the teacher to meet and assess the needs of the learner as well as discuss with the parent, student or both to get a clear understanding of which direction lessons should take.

Bassant
My name is Bassant, and I hold a master’s degree in education with over 12 years of experience in the education field. Throughout my career, I have been dedicated to fostering a love of learning in my students and equipping them with the skills they need to succeed. My teaching philosophy is deeply influenced by my Montessori certification, which emphasizes student-centered learning, and I also hold a certificate in learning difficulties, allowing me to effectively support students with diverse learning needs.

My journey in teaching has been enriched by my proficiency in multiple languages, specifically English and Arabic. With a strong academic background and extensive practical experience, I have developed a comprehensive skill set that enables me to create engaging and effective language programs.

As a native Arabic speaker with professional proficiency, I have experience teaching Arabic to non-native speakers. I employ cultural immersion techniques to enhance language learning, providing students with a rich and authentic experience.

Lewshawnda Haywood
I have completed 15 post secondary credits in the Arabic language at North Central University and The University of Minnesota. I have been teaching basic Arabic reading and writing skills for more than 10 years. I taught Arabic to children in grades Pre-K through grade 2 at a charter school for four years and a private school for seven years.

Mrs. Sondos
Mrs. Sondos teaches Arabic at Polyglots Academy. She is half Egyptian and half Syrian and can understand almost every Arabic dialect out there. She is a tutor and part time teacher. Mrs. Sondos graduated from Texas A&M in 2021 and I has been tutoring and teaching since 2019. She believes that everyone, regardless of age, deserves a fair chance at learning. She's seen students struggle and then succeed and has realized that the most important key to success is building a strong foundation in the subject they’re trying to learn. She wants to be the one to help others build and maintain that strong foundation that they’ll take with them wherever they go. She has experience teaching kids as young as 4 years old how to read, write and speak Arabic at the basic levels.
