AP Biology can be a difficult subject, but I am here to help! My AP Biology 1-on-1 tutoring is designed to provide personalized support to help every student reach their full potential!

Whether the student needs help with homework, labs, test preparation, or just wants to improve their overall understanding of the topics, I am here to help! I have tutoring experience along with being a certified teacher for over 12 years. I am happy to help my students with any of the various biology topics.

Even if a student is just looking for help with homework, I will provide individualized attention to ensure that they understand the assignment.

While learning the material, students will be able to successfully apply the four Big Ideas of AP Biology (Evolution, Energetics, Information Storage and Transmission, and Systems Interactions) to all concepts being taught. Along with that, the students will learn how to understand and use the six Science Practices of AP Biology (Concept Explanation, Visual Representations, Questions and Methods, Representing and Describing Data, Statistical Tests and Data Analysis, and Argumentation). The Big Ideas and Science Practices are the what AP Biology is centered around, so the student should be able to tie each topic back to one of the Big Ideas using one of the Science Practices. The 8 units of AP Biology (Chemistry of Life, Cell Structure and Function, Cellular Energetics, Cell Communication and Cell Cycle, Heredity, Gene Expression and Regulation, Natural Selection, and Ecology) are all topics that can and will be covered in my sessions.

I use a variety of techniques tailored to meet the unique needs of every individual student. I have slide presentations, written notes, extra worksheets, practice tests, and more to help you achieve the success you are looking for!

Being a certified teacher, I have experience working with and supporting unique learning needs such as ADHD, Dyslexia, and ASD. I have taught many students with all of these learning needs.

You bring what you would like help with.  If you are working on difficult homework, labs, or preparing for a test, bring that with you.  If you don't have specific materials you need help with, and would rather just run through some extra notes and would like me to give you additional practice problems, I can supply that for you.  This course is tailored to you, so you let me know what you need.

I am a certified teacher in Florida, and have been teaching various science courses for 12+ years.  I specialize in AP Biology and Biology, as well as Chemistry.  I love teaching, and love encouraging my students to reach their full potential by getting to know them and understand their basic learning needs.  Along with classroom teaching, I am also an experienced AP Biology tutor, as I have been offering 1-on-1 tutoring services for over a year.  

I use a combination of direct instruction, hands on activities and models, and offer a large amount of practice problems to ensure student understanding of the difficult subject matter.  By using this combination of teaching techniques paired with each student's unique learning style, the students have several ways to make connections in the topics being covered.
