Animal science helps students explore and learn about animals around the world and their unique qualities. In this course we will learn about what a marine mammal is. Each lesson will focus on a specific animal, where we will learn about anatomy, diets, habitat, facts and much more! Each week will be composed of 5 tasks that can be done daily or all in one day what ever works best for the student! The week will have a video along with worksheets, vocabulary words to learn, practice review games, along with either a science experiment, art project or edible lab. The week will end with a Kahoot to quiz the students on what they have learned that week. Optional-students will be encouraged to make a notebook where they keep all their completed worksheets throughout the class. If students complete all 5 tasks each week the course should take 9 weeks to complete. While the class is self-paced I am available for feedback and answering questions even after the 9 week period. Please expect to have answered within 72 hours (typically much sooner on weekdays) of sending messages. Certificates of completion are available as well. **Some lessons will end with a hands on science experiment or edible activity to help bring what they are learning in class alive at home!** This class is a self-paced course meaning we will not meet live together. Students will be encouraged to share completed worksheets, something new they learned, along with any questions. Please see the syllabus for specifics on each lesson.
