Mimetismo animal: el disfraz definitivo CAMP

From bluffing your way out of being another animals dinner, to smelling like poop to attract your own dinner, animal mimicry is not just what you see, but it can also be what you hear and smell!  Each week, this class will  5 new animals (habitat, lifestyle, predators, etc...) and together we will decide which type of animal mimicry they are displaying as we discover the purpose behind it!

It's all about bluffing, trickery, and misdirection in this animal course!

Week 1: Bird Poop Caterpillar, Spider Tailed Horned Viper, Ladybird Mimic Spider, Monarch, Owl Butterfly

Week 2: Decoy Spider, Poison Dart Frogs, Angler Fish, False-Eyed Frog, Amazon Leaf fish

Week 3: Atlas Moth, Coral Snake, Eyelash Viper, Banded Sea Krait, Giant Leaf-Tail Gecko

Week 4: Eurasian Wryneck, Margay, Butterfly Fish, Poltys Twig Spider

Week 5: Hawk Moth Caterpillar, Ant-Mimicking Spiders, Malayan Horned Frog, Orchid Mantis, Mimic Octopus

Week 6: Bird Dung Crab Spider, Leafy Sea Dragon, Burrowing Owl, Bolas Spider, Honey Bee

Week 7: Ghost Mantis, Dead Leaf Butterfly, Hover Fly, Frog Fish, Spicebush Swallowtail Butterfly

Week 8: Alligator Snapping Turtle, Mutable Rain Frog, Macrocilix Maia, Daring Owl Butterfly, Cheetahs

Week 9: African Puff Adder, Slow Loris, Walking Sticks, Lady Bugs, Spotted Lantern Fly

Week 10: Robber Fly, Photuris Firefly, Twig Caterpillar, Legless Lizards, Malaysian Dead Leaf Mantis

Week 11: Nudibranchs, Wasp Moth, Elephant Hawk Moth, Zone Tailed Hawk, Wattle Hopper

Week 12: Cuckoo Bird, Horned Lizard, Thorny Lizard, Deaths Head Hawk Moth, Marine Betta
 
We will learn about a minimum of 60 different creatures in the animal kingdom, and the lengths they have to go to survive in nature!  I am so excited to get started!
