Daydream Academy's Animal Crossing Club is designed to seamlessly amalgamate the worlds of education and play. Our learning goals leverage the interactive and engaging nature of Animal Crossing to foster a variety of skills among tweens and teens. Our goals include:

🔴 Social Skills Development: Learners will enhance their social interaction skills by participating in a global community, fostering international friendships, and engaging in collaborative activities. The goal is to improve communication, empathy, and teamwork abilities through shared gaming experiences.

🟢 Cultural Exchange and Global Awareness: Through connecting with peers from around the world, learners will gain insights into diverse cultures, perspectives, and ways of life, promoting a broader understanding and appreciation of global diversity.

🔵 Creative Thinking and Design: Participants will be encouraged to express their creativity and design skills by sharing and developing their own island designs in Animal Crossing. This aims to foster imagination, problem-solving, and aesthetic appreciation.

🟡 Financial Literacy: By managing in-game resources, learners will practice budgeting, trading, and resource allocation, translating these virtual money management techniques into real-world financial literacy skills.

🟣 Environmental Stewardship: Through the game's focus on nature, conservation, and island development, students will learn about environmental responsibility, sustainability, and the importance of caring for our surroundings.

🟠 Literacy and Communication: The club will promote literacy skills as participants read and discuss game content, write descriptions of their islands, and communicate strategies and ideas with peers, enhancing their reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
