Animal Crossing: Charla informal sobre el campamento de verano

En este campamento de una semana de duración compartiremos nuestras ideas y planes para nuestras islas. Los alumnos trabajarán juntos para debatir planes y mejores enfoques para lograr una isla de 5 estrellas.

Summer time means loads of time to work on our islands! Our Animal Crossing Islands, that is!
Come join a group of kiddos who have advice to give and questions to ask!
In this week long camp we will talk about many important topics around building up an Animal Crossing Island, and how to get our islands to 5 stars all through peaceful discussion. 
Each day we will have a chance to share out about our islands, and talk about our designated topic (which we will pick together as a group). 
This class will be discussion and interest driven. So, if the learners are interested in turnip exchange, then our discussion will move towards that topic. As the camp teacher, I will drive and lead the discussion with my own experience and knowledge on the topic, but will allow the learners to also bring their knowledge to the discussion. 
Along with discussion, we will also, at times, visit each other’s islands, so it will be best if learners have Nintendo Switch Online to Island hop (however it is not required to join the class). 

Along with discussions, learners will also each be given the chance to talk in detail about a part of their Island that they are either proud of, or, need advice on. 

Students will need to have the game Animal Crossing New Horizons, and have basic knowledge of the game.

Hi everyone! My name is Ms. Popp and I am so excited to teach you all! I look forward to having fun talking about things like Animal Crossing, Pokemon and Disney. I can’t wait to help you figure out your ABC’s and 123’s and how to work through problems with friends! I have been a teacher now for 4 years; kindergarten for two years, kindergarten special education for one year and now second grade for this past year! I have a bachelors degree in early childhood special education, and I am certified to teach children from birth through third grade. I have worked with children of all abilities and needs, so I am no stranger to adjusting my teaching! 
I always make sure my students are cared for and loved. When I build a relationship with a child it is because I truly want them to feel loved and cared for. I am silly and goofy, and I love to have fun while I’m teaching, so I hope you’re ready to have fun while learning! I love building relationships with students and families, and although we will be chatting through our screens, I am sure we will soon have a wonderful and respectful friendship. I believe that a child’s learning truly happens best when all members of a child’s life work together to help the child succeed, so I cannot wait to get to know you and your family!
I have a whole lot of animals so, be prepared to see my zoo in our videos! I have many furry, and pokey friends that I cannot wait to share with you! Also, I might break out into song and dance during our classes because sometimes, you just need to get a little funky to truly learn best!
