This exciting archaeology course is perfect for the curious learner who is ready to dive headfirst into some of the most complex past civilizations. From the Pyramids of Giza to Pompeii, we will discover archaeological sites from around the world that have puzzled and fascinated archaeologists for years. Each week will focus on different civilizations from a new part of the world. We will look at interesting facts about the sites, information that is known about the people who lived there, and questions that still remain unanswered. Classes are mostly lecture based, with room for discussions, video clips, and student/student interaction. We will cover three to five sites per day, so students will have an extensive introduction to the sites which have stood the test of time. No previous history or archaeological knowledge is necessary!
