Nivel Beginner
In this fun and engaging ongoing class, students will meet weekly to learn and reinforce new vocabulary and practice signing with their peers. Students will be provided with digital copies of different activities and coloring pages to help reinforce proper handshapes and vocabulary retention. Students are encouraged to ask questions and guide instruction. The topics of each week are as follows: Feb 4-10 -Alphabet Feb 11-17 -Valentine's Day Vocabulary Feb 18-24 -Food Feb 25-March 2 -Family March 3-9 -Weather March 10-16 -Sports March 17-23 -Feelings March 24-30 -Around the House Topics may change and rearrange at any time to align with student interests. Additional topics students may choose to swap out include: -Animals -Spring Signs -Superheroes & Movies -Traveling -Around Town -More Foods -Around School -Introductions -Would You Rather -Animals Part 2 -Cooking & Recipes -Summer Signs

This class is supportive and welcoming of all learners. The Deaf community as well as our classroom are inclusive environments. All learning modalities will be used and the focus is heavily on student enjoyment and engagement.

Students will receive frequent optional activities that they can print and complete at home. These include worksheets, coloring sheets, and other ASL games and activities.
