Experiencia de clase

This class is for students who are already familiar with the basics of ASL. The basics include greetings, fingerspelling, foods, and animals. If your child knows those, we can build off of them.

The class is taught in a relaxed environment that keeps your children engaged. I lead by learning from games, music, and much more.
We may use Slides at times during class, and it is recommended to use a computer or pad.

In this class, we will learn the difference between Signed English and American Sign Language.

The learners will be encouraged to interact with each other via Zoom so that they can learn how to understand ASL when signed to each other. At times we will use break-out rooms.

I have been teaching American Sign Language for over 15 years. I worked in the Deaf community for ten years. I teach a music and movement program in my local area and teach American Signs Language at different Preschools and private kindergartens in my local area. My daughter and I use signs to communicate as she is hard of hearing and an Outschool teacher. I aim to make learning fun so that learners want to keep learning.
