Welcome to "All About the Middle Ages"!

This fun and exciting class will take you on a journey to learn all about European history from 750 to 1500 CE—a time filled with castles, knights, kings, and big changes! The Middle Ages can seem like a mystery, but we're here to clear things up and show you what life was really like back then.

In this six-week course, you’ll watch videos and try fun activities while learning about the most important events, people, and ideas from the Middle Ages.

Here’s what we’ll do each week:
Week 1 – Early Middle Ages
We’ll learn about the new governments that started during this time and meet amazing leaders like Alfred the Great and Charlemagne. They helped shape how people lived and ruled.

Week 2 – More Early Middle Ages
We’ll explore the exciting stories of the Vikings and how they changed history. We’ll also talk about feudalism, a system where people worked together in specific roles, like lords and knights.

Week 3 – High Middle Ages
This was the Middle Ages at its peak! We’ll see how people advanced in learning and talk about famous thinkers like Thomas Aquinas, whose ideas are still important today.

Week 4 – More High Middle Ages
We’ll look at the early beginnings of science, the rules of chivalry that knights followed, and important events like the Reconquista and the rise of the Holy Roman Empire.

Week 5 – High and Late Middle Ages
The Crusades were huge journeys that changed both Europe and other parts of the world. We’ll also talk about the tough times in the Late Middle Ages, like plagues and food shortages, and how people coped.

Week 6 – More Late Middle Ages
We’ll dive into the big changes in the Church, learn about Joan of Arc’s bravery, and talk about the battles of the War of the Roses, which shaped the end of the Middle Ages.

By the end of this course, you’ll know all about the Middle Ages and understand how this amazing time in history still influences us today. Join us to discover the exciting world of medieval Europe!
