In this class, learners will get a basic introduction to money through a visual and interactive class. We will sing several songs about the different names of the money and their values. We will do some basic counting and adding of money. Once we have talked about the value, we will also practice pretending to buy items and counting if we have enough money in a group format. We will sum up the class with a quick introduction into how money is earned and the importance of saving money as well as making wise decisions with it.

Optional: a penny, nickel, dime, quarter, $1 bill, $5 bill. I will be showing examples of these but having some in front for hands on learning is fun too! I am also including a PDF of money flashcards if you would like to print them for your learner to reference.

Hello to Everyone! My name is Miss Meghan and I can’t wait to meet your child. I enjoy teaching a variety of classes for preschool and early elementary ages.
I hold a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Special Education. At the beginning of my career, I worked extensively with children with autism in home settings designing programs to help students access the world around them in an empowering way. After my oldest daughter was born, I became a licensed childcare provider creating a home away from home for many children to grow and learn. When my youngest daughter was born, I decided it was time to explore other options and that is how I landed at Outschool. I am so grateful for this opportunity and love meeting new learners from all over the world.
I have a passion for instilling a love of learning in young children through exposure, messy play, and fun! I strongly believe that letting children delve into learning at their own level and allowing for different types of learning styles sets children up for a life long learning journey.
In addition to teaching on Outschool, I also homeschool my two daughters who are my pride and joy. I feel so grateful to have a career that I love that also affords me the opportunity to spend time with my own children as well. In my free time, I enjoy art, brainstorming new lesson ideas, cross stitch, and reading!
