🐄🐮🐄🐮🐄🐮🐄🐮🐄🐮In this one time class, the students will listen to a non fiction book and a fiction farm story and solve cow riddles during the "research" part of the class. During the teacher directed drawing portion of the class, the students will draw and color a cow. They will share the cows with their classmates, if they feel comfortable doing so. The students will then write the answers to the riddles around the cow drawing. We will play a game of ~ow words. Their finished ALL ABOUT COWS research project can be displayed at home for everyone to celebrate!

-Students will use research skills to gather information about cows.
-Students will use creative skills by drawing and coloring a teacher directed cow.
-Students will use writing skills to write non fiction cow labels as well as ~ow words.

Hi! Welcome to my Outschool classroom.
My name is Betty Nilssen. 💕
I have a BS in Elementary Education with a minor in Spanish from UW-Milwaukee. I am a first grade teacher, but I have also taught second, third and fourth grade, full inclusive classrooms. My teaching license certifies me to teach grades 1~6. My passion for teaching reading while incorporating phonics, phonemic awareness, rhyming, comprehension, fluency, vocabulary, science, social studies, math, drawing and writing helps children strengthen their academic skills while they gain academic confidence and a love of learning. Teaching reading is my super power. I can support your young learner.
I have three adult daughters and two of them are teachers. My mom was also an educator.
There are so many books to read, words and sentences to write, math equations to solve and fiction and non fiction pictures to draw and label. Let's get started!
